Gail is an award winning illustrator of children's books whose talent and passion creating exceptional works of art have brought her national attention. Sought after by some of the finest, she creates both cover art and fully illustrated books. Gail brings her classic fine art training into each illustrated work using both colored pencil and pastels.

Her emotionally-charged design and richly colored drawings breathe life into the manuscripts that she illustrates. Educated at the University of Delaware, she received her B.F.A. in drawing.

Gail's work has been exhibited throughout the United State in all the major cities and many of her books are translated in Spanish. She lives in Elkton, Maryland where she has recently opened the Gail Piazza Gallery & Studio, sharing her experience as a professional artist with the community through art instruction, consultations for writers and illustrators and exhibiting for sale, quality, hand selected original art from regional artists in addition to her own original illustrations and prints.
