SUMMER ART CAMP
Gail Piazza, a renowned children’s book illustrator is offering an intensive art camp at Fair Hill Nature Center for kids! Summer Art Camp is a fun packed week full of exploration and inspiration! Prepare to be immersed in the world of art! Kids will develop their skills in painting, drawing and creative writing during this week long camp designed to entertain, teach and inspire.

“Gail is a wonderful person and has the knack to draw kids in and teach them in such a fun and creative way. She is a children's book illustrator so you may recognize her name. Yesterday she taught my two boys about primary colors and blending complimentary colors using peanut M&M’s as the still life! She then talked about Andy Warhol, a famous artist who developed Pop Art, and encouraged the kids to go to the library to research the artist and the time period. At the end of the session she read one of her own illustrated children's books showing them the original art and then sending them on a scavenger hunt to find the local places she illustrated in her book!!!

If your child is really interested in art, private lessons are a very valuable option. I meet with your young artist for a solid hour of intense instruction including color theory, design and composition. All of this is combined with teaching important painting and drawing skills that they will have for a lifetime.

OIL PAINTING WORKSHOP
One Day Workshop: THE SECRETS BEHIND OIL PAINTING

Oil Painter, Cynthia McGrellis will teach you the basics of how
to paint with oils. From preparation, technique and clean up, you will be prepared to tackle an oil painting on your own after this workshop. Participants will leave with a finished painting to impress their friends and grace the walls of their home.
